Conditions Treated

Neuromuscularskeletal Physio
Neuromusculoskeletal injuries affect the nerves, muscles, joints, bones, and the way they work together to produce movement. These injuries often cause pain, stiffness, weakness, tingling, or reduced range of movement, and they can impact anything from daily activities to sport and exercise.

These injuries can develop suddenly, such as after a strain or sprain, but they can also develop gradually over time due to overuse, poor movement patterns, prolonged sitting or repetitive activities. In many cases, pain is not caused by one single structure, but by how different parts of the body are interacting and coping with load.

Examples of conditions that I treat (but not limited to) are:
-
Neck pain and headaches
-
Back pain, disc herniations
-
Sciatica and other nerve related pain
-
Shoulder pain
-
Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow
-
Knee pain (runner’s knee, patellofemoral pain, ligament injuries)
-
Ankle sprains
-
Achilles tendon injuries
-
Shin splints
-
Plantar fasciitis / heel pain
Physiotherapy for these injuries focuses on identifying the root cause of the problem, not just the painful area. Treatment aims to reduce pain, restore movement, improve strength and control, and help you understand how to manage your condition so you can return to moving with confidence and reduce the risk of future injury.
Post-operative Physio
Post-operative physiotherapy is care that you receive after surgery to help your body recover safely, regain strength and restore movement. Surgery can fix a problem, but your muscles, joints, and nerves often need guided rehabilitation to return to full function.

Physiotherapy after an operation helps you:
-
Reduce pain and swelling
-
Regain strength, flexibility, and coordination
-
Improve balance and movement patterns
-
Recover safely and efficiently, whether for daily activities, work, or sport
-
Learn how to care for your body and prevent future problems
During these sessions, I will assess your specific needs, track your progress, and guide you step by step, ensuring your recovery is safe, effective, and empowering. The goal is not just healing, but helping you get back to the activities and lifestyle that you love, as quickly and safely as possible.

Geriatric Physio
Geriatric physiotherapy focuses on helping older adults maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life as they age. As we get older, natural changes in strength, balance, joint mobility, and reaction time can make everyday activities more challenging and increase the risk of falls and injury.

Physiotherapy plays a vital role in helping older adults:
-
Improve strength, balance, and coordination
-
Walk more confidently and safely
-
Reduce joint stiffness and pain
-
Maintain independence in daily activities
-
Recover after illness, injury, or surgery
