Keyboard warriors, desk jockeys, screen slouchers… this one is for you! 💻

I often get asked what conditions I see most frequently at the practice and my mind immediately jumps to neck/shoulder/upper back pain in those that work at desks for long hours.

I feel desperate for these patients as

- they can’t easily change the nature of their job, leading them to feel trapped in a perpetual cycle

-the pain often impacts their productivity

-the pain even affects their mood beyond the work day

But it doesn’t have to be doom and gloom - research offers us practical solutions that actually help (it just takes a little effort) : The best results are seen when using a combination of making ergonomic modifications to your desk set up and doing consistent strength training.
